Fun sandwiches

Well I just successfully finished another weekend of my Masters of Education.  Yeehaw!  Only 23 more weekends and an online course to do.  I can almost see the end.  Yeah right :)  This is also the reason that I am behind on my post.

I was given a few suggestions from my classmates, about how to enhance my blog.  Here are a few suggestions:

1. Create a cookbook
2. Create a 30 day meal plan with shopping list
3. Create a meal plan for travelers
4. Create a meal plan for school lunches
5. Talk about meals I have found on Pinterest or other websites that have worked or not worked
6. Set up a Facebook page for suggestions of what to see on my blog or for anyone to share ideas with me

What do you think?  I would love to hear your suggestions and opinions.

Ok, let's get to the fun sandwiches that I create.  I again found a great tool through Pampered Chef that creates crust-less sandwich pockets (called Cut-n-Seal).  This is an AMAZING tool and the kids love to see what is inside.

Here are some of the fillings that I use:

- whipped peanut butter and jam
- whipped peanut butter and nutella
- nutella
- cheese whiz
- tuna salad

The possibilities are endless :)  Let me know what you would use.  I am always up for suggestions and to try new things for my kids.

Why whipped peanut butter?  I like it for sandwiches and for on crackers.  It is lighter and easier to spread.  Regular peanut butter is best for baking.

I served the sandwiches with ham (lunch meat), yogurt and watermelon.  My kids ate everything but the watermelon.  Why?  Who knows?  Perhaps the moon was aligned wrong, or maybe they conspiring against me for a laugh.

I will be posting something else in the morning.  It's a baking day tomorrow.  See you soon.
