What do you think about music at meal times? Do you agree or do you think it is a distraction? I think that it was my saving grace for the days of fighting with my kids to eat. It seems to mellow me and my kids if we are stressed.
Ok, here are a few bands that we love; all Canadian, I might add.
The first band that we love to listen to or watch their videos on YouTube, is Walk Off The Earth. They are talented, fun and a always impress our family. They have original songs and do covers of songs that blow us away. Check them out!
Another band that I have been following for years and have recently introduced to my kids are Tegan and Sara. Again, another Canadian band of twin sisters. Their music is eclectic and fun.
Yet another Canadian artist that we enjoy is Serena Ryder. Reviews compared her to "the teenaged Aretha Franklin" and I have to agree. Her voice is powerful and she has some great tunes to dance to.
Alright, last thing about music. We have also discovered a website named Songza; thanks to my friend Meagan. This is a site that professional DJ's have set up playlists of any type of music for any type of activity that you, your family or your friends are doing. Check it out!
On a cloudy day like today, we depend on music to uplift our crabby attitudes; and to burn off some energy. Enjoy your morning and I will be posting baking recipes that we love later today.
