I
am a stay at home mom, a student, an online course developer and a super hero
to my children. I am very lucky to stay home with my children and watch
them grow every day, while my husband is at work. We have fun daily with
outside activities, crafts, playtime, story time, snuggle time, TV time and
outings. My children are; Chloe who is 4 and my twin boys, Evan and
Oliver, who are 2. My daughter is an actress with an imagination that
runs top speed throughout the day. As for my boys, they love their trucks
and wrestling. To say the least, there is never a dull moment at our
house.

My children are picky eaters and I need to be creative
with recipes and the presentation of food that I serve; I am a chef of a four
star restaurant for twin toddlers and an extreme four year old drama
queen. From textures, to colours, my children can find something with my
meals that they enjoy or that they detest. My children can love a meal
one day and hate it the next time I prepare it. My one twin will dislike
something and the other will see his reaction, therefore also disliking a
food. The same with what my twin boys observe of my daughters eating
habits. My children could love cheese sliced a specific way for a month
and then a change must be made to accommodate a dislike. As a family, we
are not organic foodies, we eat healthily and enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables
daily, but we also enjoy not so great foods. We enjoy favorites from mine
and my husband’s childhoods, such as hot dogs, baking of any kind, chef
Boyardee, Campbell’s tomato soup, grilled cheese, etc. I like to think
that we eat “normal” food. Whereas the term normal means that we do not
introduce exotic foods to our children, just to stay with the time. We
have learned to listen to what they enjoy eating and build from there. I
would like to share our trials and tribulations that we have dealt with as a
family and continue to deal with during our meal times. You will find tried
and tested food that my kids enjoy eating and what makes a balanced meal in our
household. I will also be sharing with you baking recipes and snacks that
we enjoy.
Enjoy,
Jessica

I like the introduction and your picture! I can't wait to read all about family food successes and failures. Hopefully you will help other families with toddlers and vice versa. Luvs
